What is Certified Pool Operator (CPO) training?
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is required by health departments to operate a public swimming pool or hot tub/spa. The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) CPO is accredited across Canada, the USA and 105 countries around the world.
Two formats are available: online via Zoom or in person. Successful completion of an open-book exam is required to become certified. The CPO certification is valid for 5 years. All students receive a paper copy of the Pool & Spa Operator Handbook.
